Dr. Sunil Kumar Khetarpal

Dr. Sunil Kumar Khetarpal is a senior healthcare leader, quality and accreditation expert, policy advocate, and medico-legal professional with over 37 years of experience spanning hospital administration, healthcare quality, accreditation, digital health, and public health systems strengthening. He currently serves as Deputy Director General at the Association of Healthcare Providers (India) (AHPI), the country’s largest body representing private healthcare providers.

He has held senior leadership roles in leading institutions including Rajiv Gandhi Cancer Institute & Research Centre, Sir Ganga Ram Hospital, Max Healthcare, Delhi Heart & Lung Institute, Holy Family Hospital, Shalby Hospitals, and Indian Spinal Injuries Centre. Prior to AHPI, he served as Chief Operating Officer at Rajiv Gandhi Cancer Institute, New Delhi.

An MBBS doctor with a Master’s in Hospital Administration and a Postgraduate Diploma in Medical Law & Ethics, he is also a Principal Assessor for NABH & NQAS and a Certified Temos Assessor. He actively contributes to national policy advocacy, digital health transformation, and capacity building initiatives.
