Medigence attended an insightful round table discussion on global accreditation in medical tourism excellence, conducted in New Delhi on 18th December, 2025. Healthcare dignitaries have given their expert opinions on how we can take India one step forward in medical tourism by providing patient safety, ethical culture and quality care. Our vision along with theirs is to make India a hub of medical tourism that not only helps us in upgrading our healthcare facility but also give us a space in the international healthcare market.
The programme was supported with an engaging session and one-on-one interactions that helped resolve misconceptions about medical tourism and improve the confidence for providing care to international patients.
To promote this approach, the CEO, Dr. Claudia Mika and country director of TEMOS India, Dr. Zainab Zaidi have introduced TEMOS accreditation standards in India. Further, to increase awareness about the same in the healthcare industry they have appointed multiple healthcare partners.
It was a proud moment for Medigence to have signed an MOU as an exclusive regional partner with TEMOS.
Medigence’s aim of this partnership is to promote healthcare facilities such as hospitals, clinics and small healthcare centres to implement TEMOS accreditation standards and enhance patient safety and quality of care. Our role is to guide the healthcare facility on how to implement the standards, provide documentation support like aligning the medical records and prepare SOPs according to the criteria, train the staff and help them starting from the initial gap assessment till the implementation process.
Our goal at Medigence, through this partnership, is to be a one-stop solution for the healthcare facilities to get ready for the assessment and be able to meet the international standards for medical tourism and get the esteemed TEMOS accreditation as smoothly and stress free as possible.
TEMOS accreditation is a Germany based accreditation body which focuses on patient safety, ethical processes, service excellence and quality care for international patients. They have designed the standards specifically for the hospitals which are involved in medical tourism or would like to initiate the same. This shall ensure that the staff involved in the patient care are aware of the international patient care treatment standards and protocols, effective communication and processes that eventually improve international patient satisfaction and delight.
Getting this accreditation for your hospital isn’t just a certificate, it is also about brand positioning your hospital at a global level.
We want to express our heartfelt thanks to Dr. Claudia Mika, CEO and Dr. Zainab Zaidi, Country Director, India, for having faith in us and giving us the opportunity to be a partner in elevating the healthcare standards and promoting medical tourism across the country.
